INTUIT (TURBO-TAX): Tax Assist and Review Expert (Seasonal) November 2020 - Present• Worked closely with the Customer facing team to provide necessary detailed data to support the forecasting and tracking of clients’ tax returns.• Assisted Clients in reviewing their Canadian Personal and Business tax returns.• Prepare legal entity and consolidated quarterly and year-end tax provision, including preparation of required financial statement note and MD & A disclosure• Review legal entity tax provision working papers.• Review Indirect Taxes such as GST/HST/PST/US Sales tax etc.• Prepare foreign affiliate information returns, non-resident withholding tax returns, and determine the tax implications arising from dividend repatriations and upstream loans.• Coordinate income tax audits with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA)• Identify tax savings opportunities for clients. • Perform tax research on specific tax issues or transactions as required and draft memos outlining analysis, conclusion, and recommendations.• Calculate and/or review estimated tax balances and loss utilization profiles for budgeting, forecasting and tax planning purposes as required.
