I am a dedicated and experienced architectural engineer with 18+ years of multidisciplinary experience in sustainable design and construction, resource efficiency, and project management. As a Senior Sustainability Director at Skanska, I oversee our green building projects, carbon and ESG reporting, and various sustainability initiatives. Prior to joining Skanska, I worked for other leading organizations in sustainability, energy efficiency, and project management such as ARUP, CADMUS, DAVIS, HOK, Navigant, and Rocky Mountain Institute.I hold an M.Sc. in Architectural Engineering (specializing in Construction Management) from the Pennsylvania State University, an M.Sc. in Building Engineering (specializing in Sustainable Design) from the Polytechnic University of Milan (Italy), and a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the Bogazici University (Turkey).I am currently a member of the USGBC LEED Technical Advisory Group (TAG) and have the following credentials: Certified Energy Manager (C.E.M.), LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP BD+C & LEED ID+C), Living Future Accreditation (LFA), and TRUE Advisor (Zero Waste).My mission is to lead organizations to reduce their environmental footprint by following my favorite motto: less is more.
