ABOUT ANNIKA MORRIS
I am a senior at Boston University studying journalism and public relations. I grew up a Seattle Mariners fan in Anchorage, Alaska, and that love for sports has turned into my career path. My first journalism class was my freshman year of high school, and I fell in love with the journalistic process immediately. Since going to college, I have written and edited for The Daily Free Press and Boston Hockey Blog with a heavy lean into sports storytelling. My public relations major has complemented my journalistic skill set as well, teaching me a different perspective on media and helping me build up my social media management ability. I have been able to build on my skills in game coverage, feature writing, maintaining social media presences on multiple platforms, and digital photography. My internships with college summer baseball leagues the past two summers have really helped me build up my creative and social media skills, particularly building up an extensive portfolio of baseball photos and learning how to upload and edit them quickly. I am looking forward to being able to expand on each of these skills during the upcoming Boston University hockey season. I will primarily be focusing on the women\'s team with thorough coverage across platforms and through different media for the Boston Hockey Blog.
