In this role I get to develop fundamental asset sector investment strategies and conduct asset manager oversight for $104B of general account investments in Asset Based Finance, Residential Mortgage Loans, Public Structured Finance, and Alternative Investments.One of the most rewarding aspects of my role is that given my long trajectory in structured products and my experience with the evolution of the regulatory treatment of insurance investments, I\'m in a privileged position to help my organization better understand and prudently adapt to the changes in investment preferences among U.S. insurers. It also allows me to offer insurance regulators a perspective on possible ways of averting negative risk-taking spirals in the market fueled by competitive dynamics.
