I am a business and operations leader who drives transformation and success through engagement, lean improvement, and data-driven business decisions. My experience includes general management and the implementation of continuous process initiatives for safe, efficient, and profitable global manufacturing in two diverse and overlapping industries - aerospace and industrial equipment.At GKN Aerospace in my role as General Manager I am leading the start up of a new site with major capital investment and team growth for a new $1.3 billion program. With $45 million invested and the rapid deployment of resources, I built a facility and a team from the ground up that is a flagship site. Leading the industry in key technologies, automation, and engineering development, the site is now in full production of advanced engine aerostructures.In my previous role for Parker Aerospace, Division Strategy and Integration, I directed the operations planning across 5 sites with $250 million in annual sales. I trained and coached site leaders and reported to executive leadership outlining strategies for facility expansion, staffing, and outsourcing. I led initiatives that increased a site\'s production by 62% in 18 months. As Plant Operations Manager at Hansgrohe, I directed the lean initiative for the U.S. operations. Productivity increases resulted in reduction of production inventory days by 28% and backorders by 75%. With the implementation of lean 5S techniques throughout the U.S. assembly areas, the plant moved from worst to best for Hansgrohe’s world group. Highlights of my mechanical engineering career are managing a team of engineers in the design/build of a multi-axis lift for Raytheon Missiles, leading equipment development & deployment teams in 3 countries, and contributing to the advanced design/build of a “Thermal Apparatus for Engaging Electronic Device\", which earned a patent (US 6,975,028 B1).
