About Todd Hess

At Iron County School District, I oversee all of the business and finance operations for the school district. Iron County School District employs over 1,200 people in Iron County and maintains a budget of over $100 Million. At HintonBurdick, I specialized in audit services and had extensive experience in providing financial audits and federal single audits for numerous local governments, for-profit and not-for-profit entities. In addition to auditing experience, I also have a broad range of accounting and related experience in performing studies, internal control reviews, fraud risk assessments, budgeting, compiled and reviewed financial statements, business planning, and general management consulting. At Utah Tech University (formerly Dixie State University) I taught undergraduate courses in financial accounting, auditing, and accounting practicum. I worked with the accounting faculty and business school to develop and begin the Master of Accountancy Program at the University. I also taught the Audit and Attestation course in the program that was designed to provide students sufficient knowledge to prepare for and take the AUD section of the CPA exam.
