Manage health, safety and well-being of beach patrons. Execute single and multiple-victim rescues in all ocean water conditions and remove from harm. Administer first-aid and basic life support (BLS) to victims of near-drowning, heart attack, seizure, heat exhaustion, broken bones, lacerations, or other medical emergencies. Act as first-responder and run calls for seriously injured victims (both medical and trauma cases.) ensuring transfer to higher-level care. Enforce beach ordinances and rules prohibiting activities.
