Assistant Director over multiple divisions throughout tenure including: laboratory, clinical communications, and clinical information systems. Responsible for 14 analyst’s/project managers, contractors, and temporary staff which support 18 clinical and hospital operations departments. Manage large-scale enterprise projects including; System and equipment implementations/migrations/upgrades, as well as, performance tuning, monitoring and maintenance and support of applications/systems. Leader responsible for strategic alignment with clinical business areas and IT and future development and planning at 1 year and 5 year projections. Directly responsible for long term planning for the division and partnering with our clinical departments vision and aligning goals and opportunities.Key Results: Operationalized new Clinical Communications Division in UCM IT. Increased responsibility of the clinical ancillary group with 6 applications to over 50 supported applications with cross training and increasing operational efficiency with standard work and metrics. Mentored and developed analysts in project management to enable analysts to take on leading projects. Standardized documentation, processes, and support model which led to an increase of support efficiency & capacity by > 50% As a manager was first to deploy lean methodologies within our department and focused on increasing delivery and workflow operations to identify opportunities for improvement. Gathered and assessed needs from internal business units; created custom solutions to resolve issues (e.g,system slowdowns and virus outbreaks); and developed functional specifications for Clinical IS group. Responsible for over $4 million in fiscal year capital and $5 million in operations and vendor contracts
