ABOUT TODD GREMPEL
I lead all facets of the people strategy, executive compensation, and organizational governance for CG Oncology, a Nasdaq-listed biotech advancing novel oncolytic immunotherapies through commercialization. I was part of the core team that led the company through its IPO, C-suite and SLT transformation, and the establishment of executive pay, equity, and governance frameworks required to operate under SEC, investor, and public-market scrutiny.I am proud to have had the opportunity to build CG Oncology’s people infrastructure from the ground up, transitioning the company from a PEO-based startup to a fully independent, public-company-grade HR, total rewards, and talent platform while the organization scaled 5× thus far. This included standing up executive compensation governance, equity administration, performance systems, and a high-caliber HR leadership team.My leadership foundation was formed outside of HR, in enterprise risk management and operational roles, where I was accountable for safety, compliance, and building cultures of care in international, high-risk frontline and executive environments. That experience, living as HR’s customer, peer, and partner, dramatically shaped how I approach people strategy: as a true business partner, pragmatic, science-informed, and grounded in how work actually gets done.I believe in integrating data, AI, and evidence-based hiring and development into leadership and succession decisions, including performance-based hiring and predictive assessment tools, to remove biases, improve the quality-of-hire and leadership effectiveness at scale.I partner with CEOs, executive teams, and Boards on the decisions that matter most, who leads, how they are incentivized, how risk is governed, and how organizations stay aligned while scaling through regulatory, commercial, and capital-market inflection points. My work is not about HR programs. It is about studying every facet of the business, visualizing its future state and strategy, then designing the people, governance, culture, and incentive architecture that turns ambitious science and business strategy into execution.
