Recognizing the immense potential that technology has to benefit society, we seek to develop emerging technologies for the greater good, mindful of the ethical considerations they entail. We are forming the next generation of Catholic scientists and engineers to create inventions that enable authentic human flourishing around the world. We seek to foster a community of Catholic scientists and engineers who are well-versed in the principles of Catholic social teaching and prepared to navigate the complex ethical questions that arise in areas such as artificial intelligence and gene-editing. Our graduates will be equipped with a deep understanding of their moral responsibility to serve their communities by utilizing their knowledge and skills to address societal challenges, promote justice, and contribute to the common good.In the next fifteen years, we aspire to undergo a transformative journey from being an esteemed undergraduate college to becoming an R1 research university with the highest degree of activity and excellence in science and engineering. As the only Catholic polytechnic institution and R1 research university, we will establish ourselves as pioneers in research and scholarship. Through our commitment to truth, we will inspire future generations of Catholic scientists and engineers to become saints and leaders who will build the kingdom of God.
