Mr. Yates has been in the commercial real estate since starting with CBRE in 1983 for 7 years and then with the The Alter Group for 23 years as Senior Vice President of National Development and General Manager of the Southeast Region. While at Alter, Mr. Yates directed all build-to-suit and speculative development throughout the Southeastern United States. He left Alter in 2013 when Alter closed down its operations in the Southeast and formed his own company, The Yates Group.    The Yates Group focuses on development, dispositions and acquisitions, consulting and asset management throughout the Southeast. In Atlanta, they were the local operating partner for RexxHall Realty an affiliate of Rugby Realty of New York. Mr.Yates oversaw the leasing and management team for the Atlanta portfolio it acquired from the Alter Group and assisted in the acquisition of an additional SFof office buildings as well as the disposition of a 491 apartment project in Miami. Also, they assisted Alter Group with the disposition of its land and building assets throughout the Southeast. Currently, in metro Atlanta, they are involved in the development of a 17 acre, SF industrial park and are the JV partner on the development of an 107 acre, SF bulk distribution building.
