   Todd has diverse experience in the public accounting profession, specializing in providing assurance and advisory services to both public and private owners, developers, operators, and joint ventures within all segments of the real estate, hospitality, and construction market. Todd is currently responsible for the coordination and execution of accounting, audit, tax, and advisory services to clients in all segments of the real estate market. Todd concentrates on serving multi-family, office, industrial, retail, senior housing, home builders, lenders, and hospitality public SEC registrants, REITs, and private real estate partnerships and funds. Todd has extensive experience working with REIT formations and IPOs (being an integral part of three IPOs in his career) including, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence efforts, equity and debt raising activities, and UPREIT transactions. Todd also has wide-ranging SEC accounting and reporting experience, including SEC pre-clearance topics and comment letters, along with participating in numerous initial and secondary offerings of securities. He serves as a resource for firm real estate engagements regarding application of existing and newly released accounting and auditing guidance. Todd has strong technical research skills to stay current on accounting pronouncements, regulatory rules and regulations, including extensive knowledge and application of accounting principles associated with revenue recognition, lease accounting, impairment, fair value reporting, stock-based compensation, debt and equity accounting, income taxes, business acquisitions and dispositions, derivatives, and financial reporting and disclosure requirements. Todd earned a BS and Masters in Accountancy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Gies College of Business and is a member of the Illinois CPA Society and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Member of the Illini Real Estate Forum (IREF).
