Chair of the SAE Battery Transportation and Storage Committee. o Revised SAE J2950 ‘Recommended Practices (RP) for Shipping Transport and Handling of Automotive-Type Battery System - Lithium Ion’ to add model flow chart for determining if a battery is damaged/defective for transportation. o Published SAE J3235 ‘Best Practice for Storage of Li-ion Batteries’. o Published SAE J3303 ‘Lithium and Lithium-Ion Cell and Battery Containment Performance Recommended Practice”Former Chair of the SAE task force ‘Hybrid and EV Recommendations for First and Second Responders’. o Successfully recruited a diverse task force of auto OEM’s, suppliers and responders which led to the publication of SAE J2990, ‘Hybrid and EV Recommended Practice for First and Second Responders’.o ISO TC22/WG7 expert developing standards for emergency response guides and propulsion identification.SAE G27 Committee key contributor and writing team member for SAE AS6413 ‘Performance Based Package Standard for Lithium Batteries as Cargo on Aircraft’Appointed by US Department of Transportation to serve as a Manufacturer of Vehicles Representative Member on its Lithium Battery Air Safety Advisory Committee.(20••••25)
