About Todd Kent

I have over 13 years expertise in product development, needfinding, conceptual design. prototyping, and product testing. My software skills include SolidWorks, Pro/E, and Adobe Creative Suite, and I have experience in designing plastic and metal parts. Previously, I was the Senior Test Engineer at the Good Housekeeping Research Institute—the product-evaluation laboratory of the magazine. I developed and implemented testing methodology to assess a wide range of products including consumer electronics, toys, and home improvement goods. Testing hundreds of items a year, I have a strong belief that a product’s success is heavily reliant on its practicality and ability to create a pleasant user experience. Having an eye for detail, but knowing when a quick sketch or model will suffice, I strive to develop new products that test the limits of engineering and design.
