Have enjoyed the last 20 years working in the Procurement and Material Management field, as a Material Expediter for five years, Buyer since and now Procurement Manager. As an Expediter, I managed purchase orders from being issued to supplier, to material/equipment delivery to site, ensuring all phases of the packages (Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Quality Assurance and Shipping) were on schedule to meet Site Construction requirements. This role also included manufacturing facility visits to ensure capacity and capability of the suppliers to meet the requirements of the purchase orders placed.As a Buyer, initiating, negotiating and managing numerous high value purchase orders on major Mining and Oil & Gas projects. Currently Procurement Lead, managing Purchasing, Quality, Logistics and Expediting portions of the project, as well as Material Planning and reporting. Especially enjoying the day to day challenges this job provides. Have learned over the years, that obtaining new skills in any and all fields has motivated me to put 110% into everything I do. And have been lucky to work for a company that provides the opportunity to broaden your skills and horizon.
