Since 1779, embracing new technologies has been part of our history. Kurtz Ersa is a globally active, family-owned mechanical engineering group based in the Spessart region, Germany. We have evolved over seven generations by taking on new production challenges in every era.
We develop and manufacture production equipment and smart production automation solutions such as for electronics production, particle foam processing, semiconductor manufacturing, micro and nano assembly, and Additive Manufacturing. With more than 20 production and sales locations and representatives in around 90 countries, we combine engineering and in-house manufacturing expertise with a global sales and service network.
In metal Additive Manufacturing, our Flying Ray machine platform is based on Powder Bed Fusion – Laser Beam/Metal (PBF-LB/M). It combines this established process with pivot arm technology, an approach designed for more uniform process conditions and repeatable, scalable industrial production. The development of Flying Ray brings together mechanical engineering, automation, software and process expertise within Kurtz Ersa.
