ABOUT TODD CROMWELL
I help investment managers build finance functions that produce clean, investor-ready reporting which hold up under scrutiny and support better business decisions. As a CPA and CGMA with 23+ years of leadership experience, I have worked across private equity, hedge funds, asset management and broker-dealer environments. My expertise sits where fund accounting, management company accounting, operations and regulation meet. I work with fund principals, CFOs, COOs and operating teams to bring structure to complex finance environments. In some cases, I step in as an outsourced CFO. In others, I help strengthen the reporting, controls and operating discipline needed to support growth. My work spans: • fund accounting and close • management company accounting and consolidations • capital activity, including subscriptions and redemptions • allocations and fee structures • investor reporting • budgeting, forecasting, and liquidity planning • board-level financial reporting and insight • administrator oversight and finance process improvement I have also led in multi-entity environments involving SEC and FINRA reporting, regulatory capital, audit and tax coordination and control design. I am known for a practical approach: create structure where it is missing, tighten what is loose, standardize what should be repeatable and keep the finance function audit-ready at all times. The end result is simple: stronger reporting, better controls and greater confidence for management, investors, auditors and other stakeholders.
