Todd Butterfield is a market professional with over four decades of experience across equities, options, commodities, and digital assets. He began his career in 1984 as a professional trader with Rialcor Shatkin in Chicago, Illinois, and went on to register as a Commodity Trading Advisor in 1990, establishing a strong multi-year performance track record. In 1991, he joined Smith Barney as a Financial Consultant, further expanding his work with individual and institutional clients. In 1997, he founded Butterfield Capital Advisors / Butterfield Futures, where he provided fee-based investment advisory services alongside futures brokerage as an Introducing Broker (IB). In 2011, he established The BlackBay Group, a research-driven investment firm encompassing BlackBay Capital Advisors (RIA), focused on capital preservation, risk management, and strategic market allocation. Mr. Butterfield is also the President and Chief Strategist of Wyckoff Stock Market Institute (WyckoffSMI.com), where he delivers institutional-grade market analysis based on Wyckoff methodology. He is the founder of LearnCrypto.io, an educational platform focused on applying Wyckoff principles to cryptocurrency markets, and co-host of a YouTube cryptocurrency market program.
