With over 20 years of experience in education, I am a passionate and dedicated leader in special education. As the Director of Special Education at Ohio Council of Community Schools (OCCS), I oversee and monitor the compliance and quality of 50 schools across the state, including five online/virtual schools. I have successfully led the creation and implementation of regional trainings, conferences, and audits on various academic and special education topics, and have presented at the state and national level. I am also a certified instructor in Nonviolent Crisis Prevention, including verbal de-escalation. My mission is to provide effective and equitable support and services to all students with diverse learning needs and their families.
