About Todd Bowers

In 2014, R. Todd Bowers retired from SunTrust Banks, Inc. after a 37-year career in the banking industry. He was most recently Executive Vice President and Senior Financial Officer in SunTrust\'s Wholesale Bank with responsibility for reporting and forecasting and prior to that, financial management responsibility for the Commercial and Business Banking segments. While much of his career with SunTrust was spent in various CFO roles, he also oversaw the Company\'s extensive Branch Banking networks in Florida and Tennessee from 2003 to 2013 as EVP for Geographic Retail Banking. In that leadership role, he was responsible for all aspects of production, growth and profitability including product pricing, employee attraction, retention and development and network expansion for over 600 SunTrust branch offices. Mr. Bowers spent his entire career with SunTrust Banks starting as a part time teller while completing his undergraduate degree in Businees Administraion and Accounting culminating as an Executive Vice President with numerous leadership roles. In 2015, Mr. Bowers joined Quest, Inc. as Project Manager for Quest Village, a 48 unit apartment complex devoted to adults with developmental disabilities in need of affordable housing. Quest Village was completed on time and on budget and opened in early 2018. Todd is a graduate of UCF and has been an active alumnus for 40+ years. He has served on the Alumni Association Board of Directors (President, 1986), Golden Knight Club Board of Directors (President, 1993), UCF Foundation Board of Directors (Treasurer, 2008), School of Accounting Advisory Board, Finance Advisory Board, College of Business Dean’s Advisory Board, Athletic Association Board of Directors and currently sits on the Board of The Learning Institute For Elders (LIFE) at UCF (President 20••••21) and Legacy Pointe at UCF Continuing Care Retirement Community. He was the 1993 College of Business Distinguished Alumnus, a inductee to the College of Business Hall of Fame, the 2002 recipient of the Service to UCF Award from the UCF Alumni Association and the 2013 Jefferson Award for Public Service from the UCF Alumni Association. Todd is also a Life Loyal Member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity and was recognized by the fraternity as a “Significant Sig” in 2011.
