   As the Director of Education and Events, my primarily focus is on the overall management and strategic implementation of educational offerings and events, including vendor relations, contract negotiations, and working closely with members, staff, and volunteer committees. My role requires me to be a detail-oriented individual and team player who can communicate effectively, manage multiple concurrent initiatives, and work independently in a small-staff, fast-paced environment.• Manage and oversee all programs, conferences and educational opportunities. Manage councils and consultants as it pertains to education and programming. Participate in council and committee selection process.• Work directly with CEO and COO on education and events budgeting; manage P&L for department budget. • Work directly with the Chair of Education and Programs, to implement the strategic educational initiatives for the society.• Manage and oversee all events, including networking events, the society’s Annual Market Dinner, Annual Meeting, and Charter Award Ceremony. Work directly with Programs and Education coordinator to ensure successful events.• Review and sign all education and event related contracts including venue, speaker, AV, and those that are needed.• The primary staff liaison for Education and Advisory Council; work closely with Chair of Council.• The primary staff liaison for Sustainable Investing Task Force.• Oversee and manage the CFA Society Boston Practice Exam, including management of any third-party consultants participating in the process. Manage outreach to CFA Societies regarding the revenue share program.• Oversee Online Communities as they pertain to content.• Foster relationships with sponsors; development of ongoing sponsorship program for event/education sponsors• Practice Exam oversight
