About Todd Andersen

I am software engineer with 25 years of experience in software information systems and custom development work and 12 years SalesForce developer, and 4+ years SalesForce admin experience. I\'ve specialized mostly in the higher education space. I have worked extensively with SalesForce CRM, data integrations, JavaScript/Node.js, Sql Server.NET, Banner, Ellucian PowerCampus, Dynamics GP, and many other languages, platforms, and software systems.I have worked in roles as a tech lead, manager, and individual contributor (as a software engineer).I am currently employed at Salesforce, as a senior/ team lead software engineer on the Education Cloud team. This role consists in Java programming, as well as apex, lwc, aura, JavaScript, robot selenium framework, python, and extensive work with managed packages. My team is directly responsible for the Education Cloud product offerings sold by Salesforce, which is used by advisors, staff, faculty, and students in higher education and K-12 settings. I was previously a Senior Software Engineer at Western Governors University (WGU), where I worked on the Faculty Support team serving over faculty and mentors, who serve over students. I specialized in data integrations and advanced apex and lightning coding. I also worked as a tech lead to move our scheduled batch integrations to SalesForce to be redesigned to near real time single transactions, utilizing micro services technologies such as AWS SNS/SQS, KAFKA, RESTful API, Heroku Connect, and other technologies.Colleagues know me as someone who will always go above and beyond and take on any projects, no matter how difficult. I\'m often able to troubleshoot and discover the root of a problem when others are unable to. I am also known as someone who has personality traits that puts everyone at ease, and can calmly and patiently work in collaboration with end users and other IT colleagues, even in the most stressful projects.I have an Associates Degree in computer science from Jamestown Community College and I have a BS from Rochester Institute of Technology with a concentration in object oriented programming and graduated with highest honors. I also have an MA from Northeastern Seminary.
