I am an accomplished Process/Technical Safety professional with a reputation for finding pragmatic solutions to problems gained over 29-years of experience working at major hazard facilities, both onshore and offshore. My career to date has encompassed chemical manufacturing, offshore oil and gas production, onshore gas processing, onshore and offshore decommissioning and, more recently, carbon capture and storage. I have worked in operations, FEED projects, detailed design and construction.I have extensive experience of interfacing with government regulators, particularly the Health and Safety Executive, as well as industry bodies such as The Energy Institute, The International Association of Oil & Gas Producers, Carbon Capture and Storage Association and Offshore Energy UK.I am a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers. I am a Functional Safety Engineer (TÜV Rheinland)- Safety Instrumented Systems.
