About Toby Norman

I am a motivated and aspiring supply chain management student at Auburn University, expected to graduate in 2026. I have completed a summer internship at Outokumpu Stainless USA, a leading global stainless steel manufacturer, where I developed and implemented data-driven solutions to optimize production and distribution processes. In my internship at Outokumpu, I worked with a cross-functional team of engineers, managers, and analysts to improve the plant\'s capacity and efficiency. I created a capacity estimator in Microsoft Excel to visualize and maximize run rates, focusing on plant bottleneck analysis. I also produced a distribution network map in Microsoft Power BI, highlighting logistical capabilities from the plant and identifying potential rail shipment alternatives to truckload. I executed daily logistics reports, providing critical information for multiple weekly meetings. Through this experience, I honed my problem-solving, data analysis, and communication skills, as well as my multicultural awareness and adaptability. I am passionate about applying my skills and knowledge to help organizations achieve their supply chain goals and create value for their customers. I am eager to learn from and contribute to a diverse and innovative team that shares my vision and values.
