ABOUT TOBY LEE
I recently graduated with a First-Class MEng General Engineering degree from King’s College London, where I specialised in high-performance systems design. For my Master’s project, I led the development of the suspension system for KCL’s Formula Student racing car, coordinating a small technical team and overseeing the design process from concept to simulation. This role gave me the chance to apply advanced engineering principles in a competitive, real-world context, and demonstrated my ability to take ownership of a complex project under tight constraints.Through both my studies and projects, I’ve developed a strong technical toolkit that spans CAD design, finite element analysis (FEA), computational fluid dynamics (CFD), programming, and electrical circuit design. I enjoy applying these tools to solve complex engineering problems, combining analytical rigour with creativity. My experience has taught me how to approach design challenges systematically, validate concepts through simulation, and deliver results that are both practical and innovative.Beyond academics, I was proud to serve as a captain and committee member of King’s College London Football Club (KCLFC). Leading a diverse team, organising fixtures, and coordinating extracurricular activities for the wider club taught me valuable lessons in leadership, teamwork, and resilience, which are qualities I aim to bring to every challenge I take on.In short, I am a motivated, technically capable, and ambitious engineer eager to apply my skills in yacht engineering and contribute to innovative projects in the marine sector. I welcome opportunities to connect with professionals in this field as I take the next step in my career.
