About Tobin W. McGilligan

Hello, I am a bilingual analytics professional bringing transportation safety, management consulting, and programming experience to bear on helping customers define and deliver innovative data-driven mechanisms to address their questions and challenges. I am inspired by Ernest Moniz, the MIT nuclear physicist and US Secretary of Energy whose technical expertise and management acumen was invaluable in negotiating the JCPOA. I aspire to fulfill a role with similar impact within my own area of expertise, where I can serve public interest and advance society\'s prosperity and security among governments, stakeholders, and communities. To this end, I seek two broad categories of experiences:1) Experiences where I can develop robust and impeccable technical skill sets, with the soft skills to match2) Experiences where I can immerse myself in how different populations, industries, and organizations leverage data and AI to formulate plans of action, measure progress, and achieve objectives.To date, I\'ve accumulated those experiences as a Project Manager building data-driven decision-making pipelines for US State Departments of Transportation, as a Data Analyst & Cartographer supporting North American and African logistics organizations, as a GIS technician supporting FEMA flood mapping initiatives in the United States, and as an IT intern at the US Embassy in Mexico City. I hold a B2-level certification in Spanish from the Instituto Cervantes.I am someone who takes initiative to clear the way for positive outcomes; I jump at opportunities to improve processes that make my team\'s jobs easier. I\'m also someone who appreciates the role of mentorship in team-building and professional development. After hours, I enjoy dancing Lindy Hop and playing board games =)
