Tobin Ashby is a partner in the Commercial Division in Kennedys’ London office, leading the global insurance transactions and advisory practice and specialising in insurance regulatory and commercial advice and strategic transformation projects. He qualified in England and Wales in and has over 20 years’ experience in financial services, including spending 10 years working in-house for a global insurance group. He is recommended as a ‘Leading Individual’ in the Legal 500 legal directory for non-contentious regulatory work in financial services. He has a particularly good understanding of clients’ business requirements from his time as a senior in-house lawyer, which he uses to provide focused and pragmatic advice and solutions. Tobin is a regular speaker at events on insurance and investment matters and is a member of the Distribution Practice Group of the Investment and Life Assurance Group (ILAG).
