ABOUT TOBIAS OLIVER
We all face times of great challenge and loss during our lives. These come in many forms – the loss of a loved one, the loss of health (physical, mental or both), a life-limiting condition, loss of freedom, loss of a job, or the loss of a significant relationship. Sometimes it can all feel too much to cope with. And you may feel isolated and overwhelmed. You don’t have to handle it alone. Therapy can help you cope better, reclaim your power and reconnect to the gifts of life. I can help you get back on track. I am a registered Therapist, working with Integrative Psychotherapy, CBT, and Medical & Clinical Hypnotherapy to help you discover a new way of being and better dealing with life. I am trained in Grief Counselling, Grief Movement Therapy and Hypno-oncology (supporting you on the cancer journey with specialist hypnotherapy). There are many different reasons for seeking help. You may have a specific issue or simply feel unsatisfied, unhappy or out of sorts. I can help you cope better with a range of conditions. And together we can make the difference you deserve. There’s never been a better time to start. I am also a qualified teacher of therapeutic yoga (RYT-500) and meditation, specialising in trauma-informed Dru Yoga, Grief Yoga™, Traditional Yoga Meditation and Laughter Yoga. Alongside my private therapy practice I have worked and taught widely for many organisations and charities. These include Cavendish Cancer Care, St Luke’s Clifford House, The Teenage Cancer Trust, OutAloud, SAYiT, Sheffield Theatres, STRATA, and a number of NHS Foundation Trusts. I am the co-author (with my sister, the psychologist, Kate Oliver) of the award-winning personal development book,\'Rise and Shine - How to transform your life, morning by morning\'. Rise and Shine is published by Piatkus and is available from wherever books are sold. It has already been translated into three languages - Italian, Romanian and Polish - and was a finalist at the International Book Awards and a winner of a Silver Medal in the Nautilus Book Awards. I began my career working in arts marketing and local government communications before re-training as a therapist and teacher. I am a Director of the Sheffield-based music theatre company, Mr Bugg Productions – creators of the hit West End show, Miss Nightingale the musical. I have also served on the boards of BML, Danceworks UK, Colchester Gay Switchboard and CAM (Chair).
