During my 7+ years at Accuragen, I played a key role in the development of our technology. We developed a best-in-class MRD assay based on high-efficiency error correction in variant calling of cfDNA. Our latest assay, AccuScan, achieves error rates below 1 in 2 million, enabling MRD detection in cfDNA at very low allele frequencies.At AccuraGen, I led the development of the computational pipeline, where our team created multiple pipelines to detect somatic variants in tissue and plasma data on a whole-genome scale. These pipelines are deployed in AWS to facilitate the processing of billions of reads as part of an automated workflow.Additionally, I led a team of analysts in developing new algorithms and statistics to improve error correction and optimize MRD calling accuracy. We processed multiple clinical cohorts and demonstrated the clinical utility of our highly accurate MRD approach in our recent publication.I also made significant contributions to our research efforts in early cancer diagnostics, applying machine learning to cfDNA, proteomics, and epigenetics data to achieve highly specific and sensitive predictions.

With over 15 years of experience in Bioinformatics and over 8 years as a Director, I have successfully hired, trained, and managed teams of data analysts and engineers in the development of diagnostic oncology assays. I have contributed to the FDA-approved ClonoSeq MRD assay and have in recent years worked on the development of high accuracy cfDNA assays for minimal residual disease (MRD), early cancer detection, and treatment selection.
