ABOUT TOBIAS SCHWEDES
I am a principal research scientist in the product team at Faculty. I’m working on topics including optimisation, causal inference, time series forecasting, Bayesian modelling, AI safety (fairness, robustness), and AI agents.Before joining Faculty, I did a PhD in computational statistics at Imperial College London. In my research, I developed new estimation procedures for Bayesian statistics which exhibit faster convergence than default methods such as Markov Chain Monte Carlo. During the last year of my PhD I worked as an independent contractor providing machine learning tools for predictive analysis to financial institutions.
