As a Data Engineer my work consisted of- Engineered end-to-end data platforms from scratch using Databricks, BigQuery, and GCP, implementing medallion architectures (Bronze → Silver → Gold) that enabled scalable, high-quality analytics across multiple enterprise clients in publishing and finance - Fully automated cloud infrastructure deployment using Terraform and OpenTofu for GCP and Databricks environments, eliminating manual configuration and enabling reproducible multi-environment setups (DEV/STG/PRD) through version-controlled IaC - Built automated ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, dbt, Cloud Run, and Cloud Workflows, supporting API, CSV, and Excel ingestion with delta loading and state management, significantly reducing manual data processing - Developed comprehensive logging and monitoring frameworks for data integration platforms, providing near-real-time health checks and full auditability across all current and historical data loads - Implemented SCD Type 2 historization and data quality gates at every layer, ensuring high data integrity and enabling reliable downstream reporting and decision-making - Designed and deployed CI/CD pipelines in GitLab and Bitbucket with Workload Identity Federation, enabling automated testing, deployment, and infrastructure provisioning across multiple client projects
