The individual responsible for managing and ordering SKUs from 30 suppliers for our entire New York Metro service area, which is fulfilled out of our warehouses in Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Suffern, and Long Island• The most important function is forecasting, which is done monthly Once the forecasting is complete, I send orders to each supplier through a variety of methods:Supplier dashboardsSupplier custom Excel spreadsheetsInternal purchase orders in Excel or PDF format• Daily check-in on the inventory levels, rate of sales, and the status of incoming ordersTreating each warehouse like its own distributor, with different storage capacities, receiving docks, and manpower to fulfill our customer’s orders• Compile notes from every procurement member about what affected their portfolio, SKU by SKU breakdown, and put together a weekly summary, which is then sent to the Director and Senior Manager• In constant communication with suppliers and carriers to help coordinate appointments and redirect/change orders to accommodate our needs across all five warehouses• Play a key role in compiling, summarizing, and provoking discussion around the metrics that our Director and VP of Operations hold us accountable to
