Currently conducting research on (1) Machining dynamics and vibrations: Chatter detection and spindle speed selection by scanned periodic sampling frequency,(2) low-cost sensors design and fabrication for spindle motion measurements during machining and (3) in-process data monitoring collection and analysis, in collaboration with Oak Ridge National Laboratory, National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining, and America Makes.
