In 2021, I ran a 100-mile ultra marathon. It all started with a simple promise I made to myself to step out of my comfort zone and push myself both physically and mentally.While I was running and hiking through the Blue Ridge Mountains day and night, I had so many thoughts flowing through my head \"Why am I doing this? Am I crazy? I\'m tired.my legs and feet are killing me, am I going to be able to hold up? Should I stop? AGAIN, Why am I doing this? etc.\" But despite the pain and physical and mental fatigue and overdose of Cliff Bars and aid station finger foods, I saw the task through and kept going. That is who I am, when I set a goal and say I am going to do something, it will get completed.Now I put that resilience and perseverance to work as an Account Manager. I don\'t have to run 100 miles through the mountains but my ability to adapt, learn and problem solve allows me to approach my job with the mindset of whatever task or obstacle is in front of me will be completed.I value and thrive off of \"the people\" and the environment that surrounds me. Building relationships, communication, collaboration, and teamwork are key to me when it comes to achieving a goal ever since I started working as a Project Coordinator, then an Implementation Manager, and now an Account Manager. Teamwork truly makes the dream work and these values are deeply rooted in me ever since I was a kid playing football, basketball, track, and boxing.
