As the commercial content partner for some of the world’s top live-sports media properties, Joe Hand Promotions (JHP) is the leader in the out-of-home live sports and entertainment media distribution industry. For over 50 years, we have seamlessly connected commercial establishments with live sports that have successfully driven customer traffic and increased revenues. I recognized the opportunity for growth at this established company and was hand-picked for the role of CFO. Initially charged with revamping JHP’s CRM product, I worked internally to identify what was working and what wasn’t working and assumed control of our telephony voice technology. Over time, our team redeveloped a program that enabled us to work at scale and ensure that workflows for the operations and sales teams were significantly more efficient. Completely revamped our HR structure, including contracting with a professional employment organization to bring our employees Fortune 500-level benefits that we otherwise could not offer as a small business Formalized compensation structures for producers Instituted a formal budgeting process Developed JHP’s ecommerce platform, driving millions of revenue in year oneManaging a team of five, my role also includes budgeting, planning, treasury, strategic development, benefit design, technology management and contracting.
