With more than 35 years in the A/E/C industry, I currently serve as CAD Manager at Chen Moore & Associates, a multidisciplinary engineering firm serving the Southeast U.S. My focus is on elevating firm-wide CAD workflows, driving BIM/CAD standards, and supporting multi-office collaboration across civil, electrical, landscape, structural and transportation engineering disciplines.In this role I lead the development and implementation of CAD/BIM systems, streamline processes, and mentor design teams to deliver high-quality production in fast-paced environments. I manage the selection, customization and deployment of CAD applications and standards, including complex models and data sets used across project disciplines. I also ensure data integrity, version control, and efficient coordination tied to stringent schedule and client requirements.My career began in 1989, and over the decades I’ve honed deep expertise in design automation, Civil 3D deployment and project production strategies for large-scale infrastructure and land-development work. Along the way I’ve embraced emerging technologies by actively participating with Autodesk\'s development group and presenting at industry forums such as Autodesk University on advanced workflows for Civil 3D and Plant 3D pressure-network parts.At Chen Moore, I partner closely with senior leadership, project managers and IT to align CAD/technology operations with business objectives—ensuring our deliverables not only meet design standards but positively impact project outcomes and firm efficiency.

In this role, I focus on strengthening the technical capabilities of our design staff by developing and delivering training programs for engineering design software and digital workflows.Starting with the company in 2012 (in the industry since 1989), I have worked extensively in civil design (water, sewer, grading, drainage, etc.) and CAD management, supporting project teams with standards development, technical problem-solving, and production efficiency. My expanded role places a greater emphasis on mentoring and training staff to improve consistency, efficiency, and technical proficiency across the organization.By aligning training with real project workflows and industry best practices, I help ensure our teams are equipped to deliver high-quality design solutions using modern digital tools.
