About Trevis McCullough
Sitting is the new smoking.” I’ve carried that mindset into my work and my life because progress—personal and professional—only happens when we keep moving forward. Whether it’s streamlining a process, troubleshooting a system, or helping someone find clarity, I’m driven by improvement, action, and supporting people in meaningful ways.I’m an engineering and quality professional with experience across aerospace maintenance, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and small-business operations. My work centers on reliability, continuous improvement, and building systems that help teams perform better and safer. I care about people, mission readiness, and doing work that reflects integrity and service. I also hold D-SAACP Level I certification, reflecting professionalism, trust, and supporting others when needed.Alongside my military and technical background, I own a small development-focused business where I handle acquisition planning, project oversight, and compliance/inspection preparation. My independent adjuster license supports my ability to perform accurate assessments and ensure quality before transitioning completed projects to outside management partners. This experience keeps me grounded, hands-on, and connected to real-world operational challenges. With advanced training in Lean Six Sigma (Master Black Belt) and project management (PMP-level), I bring a balance of technical problem-solving and people-centered leadership. I enjoy creating efficient, scalable processes, improving reliability, and helping teams work with more confidence and clarity.I’m open to opportunities where I can support teams, strengthen operations, and make a positive impact—both in the workplace and in the communities we serve.
Experience
Aircraft Electrical & Environmental Systems Technician
Feb 2024 — Present
In my current role supporting U.S. Air Force operations, I serve in a full-time, on-site aircraft sustainment capacity under the Air Reserve Technician (ART) model, where federal civilian employment and Air Force Reserve membership are linked to provide continuous operational support. My work focuses on the electrical and environmental (E&E) systems that underpin aircraft safety, reliability, and mission availability in a highly regulated, safety-critical operating environment.I support KC-46A aircraft through hands-on maintenance, structured troubleshooting, and corrective action across power generation and distribution, environmental control and pressurization, fire detection and suppression, landing gear interfaces, and related safety-critical subsystems. These systems are foundational to aircraft operability and require strict adherence to Technical Orders, configuration control, and disciplined maintenance practices.Beyond execution, I contribute to reliability and sustainment improvement efforts by identifying recurring discrepancies, supporting root-cause isolation, analyzing failure patterns, and assisting with corrective actions aimed at reducing repeat failures, improving system availability, and strengthening maintenance processes. This includes reviewing applicable Technical Orders, supporting deviation resolution, and collaborating with maintenance and engineering counterparts to ensure corrective actions are effective and durable.I also provide technical mentoring and support within the maintenance team as needed, reinforcing standards, safe maintenance practices, and compliance with governing technical and safety requirements. The role closely parallels civilian aerospace sustainment and reliability functions, emphasizing system integrity, risk awareness, and continuous improvement under operational constraints.
