I am averse to looking backwards, but you\'re here so I suspect you want to know about me. Here you go:My career TL;DR:My current activity is working to start my own company. I know that this is a significant challenge, and I welcome it. As \"they\" say in the rocket business,\"excitement is guaranteed.\"Even though I never worked on rockets, my first job (at age 16) was at NASA. My role there allowed me to make a small contribution to saving over lives.I have a Master of Science (MS) degree in electrical engineering, two Bachelor of Science degrees (one in Physics, one in Mathematics) and have contributed to 44 US patents in network security, wired and wireless networking, and software development.To show how stubborn I can be, I wrote three books on computer networking, as well as being a co-author of one of Google\'s SRE books. I also have actively participated in both the 802 (mostly 802.11) and IETF standards processes.Finally, I\'ve been a lurking member on LinkedIn since Feb. The full details are in my profile.
