In this internship I’ve been tasked with integrating A.I. into the Litigation department of the firm. This has including analyzing and diagnosing the A.I. program in practice to find flaws in the program and outline to our employees where they can trust the A.I. to work independently and where they must use their own scrutiny and knowledge in ensuring the products of the A.I. don’t fall into the same potholes as other LLMs, including but not limited to, hallucinations, source issues, and misinterpretation of character lines. The primary responsibility of my role in the firm however is to assist attorney’s and paralegals with document preparation, case management, and scheduling, to best aid cases in the path from preparation to settlement or Trial. This has included filing NOA’s ROS, and Motions on the Mass Court System, in addition to handling internal calendars, deposition schedules and timeline preparation. Finally, I help in entering bills and payments for the cases and organizing internal files for cases.The main programs I’ve used in this role has been Microsoft Office Suite, Litify, Kolfax PDF, Quickbooks, and Adobe PDF.
