I am a WRITER & PRODUCER with 20 years of experience across media. My studio, Subtext, strategizes and creates narrative-driven written and visual content for large tech clients. Our work includes feature articles, animation, speeches, live-action video, VR, audio, interactive and other multimedia storytelling I am a book author and Sundance Fellow. My memoir \"Do Travel Writers Go to Hell?\"(Random House) published in a half-dozen languages and has been under option at Showtime and Vice. The Seattle Times called my first novel,\"Lake City\"(Counterpoint),\"a caustic satire\" and Publishers Weekly deemed it \"hip, intrepid, and philosophical.\" It is under option for feature film at BookWorks. My new novel,\"Supersonic\"(Counterpoint), just published with starred reviews from both Publishers Weekly and Booklist. It was one of Publishers Weekly\'s \"Most Anticipated Literary Fiction Novels for Spring 2025.\" I have written for a number of print and digital publications ranging from The Washington Post to Forbes to The Ski Journal and am fluent in both Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese.
