About Tykerius Monford

I am a Brown University Economics student and an Investment Banking Analyst at Wells Fargo, working on the Power, Utilities, and Renewables (PUR) team. I am also a proud Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT) Fellow, participating in the Career Prep and Ascend programs, where I receive mentorship, coaching, and training to prepare for a successful career in Investment Banking and Private Equity. Beyond these initiatives, I envision using my platform to create access and opportunities for students of color and those from low-income backgrounds, like myself. By leveraging my experiences and the networks I have built, I aim to empower and support underrepresented students in their pursuit of education and professional growth, breaking down barriers and promoting social mobility.As a passionate advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), I have demonstrated my commitment to creating inclusive environments and empowering underrepresented students through various leadership roles and initiatives. As the President of Black in Business at Brown (BiBB) and the Chair of Diversity and Inclusion for the Brown Healthcare Investment Group (BHIG), I have increased representation, engagement, and professional development opportunities for students of color and low-income backgrounds. I have also hosted financial literacy workshops, initiated a DEI committee, and increased turnout for events by 150%. Beyond these activities, I aspire to use my platform and network to create access and opportunities for underrepresented students in education and finance, breaking down barriers and promoting social mobility.
