ABOUT TRAVIS ZUBICK

As Manager, Construction Engineering at PCL Industrial I am responsible for leading an engaged team providing Construction Engineering services to PCL Industrial projects including advanced heavy lift and crane planning, design of rigging and lifting devices, personnel and material hoist planning, fall protection planning, concrete formwork, falsework, access scaffold design, and construction productivity analyses. In addition, I have developed and delivered technical and practical training material to our Engineering, Project Management, and Field teams. During this time I have also taken the opportunity to share my knowledge of advanced lifting and rigging through guest lecturing for the University of Alberta Civil Engineering program and at other industry seminars. After my graduation from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering I worked with Graham Construction on a variety of infrastructure projects for the City of Edmonton, Department of National Defense, and Alberta Infrastructure. My role as a Project Coordinator was working with to senior staff (Project Managers) in the coordination, scheduling, quantity surveying, reporting and quality control functions. My experience includes work on roadways, bridge structures, water treatment facilities, and an underground parking structure.
