ABOUT TIM PARKER
Tim started his career as a developer, technical writer and systems analyst. Two PhD programs and five Masters programs later he has written a lot (3,500 articles and 57 books). He has acted as a senior executive for a series of software companies ranging from start-ups to Fortune 50 at the VP to CTO level, managing groups ranging in size from 30 to 7,500 engineers. He has extensive experience in end-to-end software development, process definition and implementation, lifecycle management, outsourcing, quality assurance, and quality programs.Over the years Tim has lived and worked in Canada, US, UK, Germany, India, China, Hong Kong, and Vietnam.Specialties: Managing software development projects; managing IT infrastructures and datacenters, developing leadership skills; working with customers; implementing quality programs and initiatives; establishing and managing outsourced offshore development centers.Current programming skills are in LAMP, C, Java, Visual C#.NET, Visual C++.NET, and Web languages. He has architected and implemented large-scale data management and analysis systems, as well as Enterprise-class client-server systems. Tim is a Six Sigma Master Black Belt and Agile ScrumMaster.
