Responsible to develop, review, and update APD emergency operations plans and ensuring annexes to private, local, regional, state and federal plans are developed and updated; assigned APD Medical Countermeasures Dispensing and Strategic National Stockpile Plans.Serves as an APD Continuity of Operations Planning Team member; ensure any changes to APD unit’s location or priorities are reflected to overall plan and memorandum of understandings/agreements are in place.Exercise planning team for APD and City of Austin (COA) of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (HSEM); developed exercises scenarios for Downtown Austin Alliance and created comprehensive mass casualties table top exercise for the 2018 Southwest Conference & Festivals; facilitated successful communications between private, local, state and federal entities.APD representative/liaison in for local/state emergency management related meetings; active member for the Capital Area Trauma Regional Advisory Council and Critical Infrastructure Protection Planning Committee.Audited over 2400 civilians and sworn officers for NIMS compliance in accordance to COA resolution; reached out to overdue members for required courses, increased compliance level to 96% completion; 2019 COA audit stated APD documentation and tracking was the best in the city.APD primary training manager for ICS level courses; conducted 12 courses in past two years; reinforced COA\'s mandated ICS guidelines.APD representative at COS HSEM during February 2018 ice storm/October 2018 Austin water crisis; supported APD commanders with tracking resources and response coordination.Established mobile command post during the March 2018 Austin Bombings; provided one location to coordinate resources and support to the field.Primary point of contact to ensure establishment of APD in Department Operation Center; conducted weekly checks to the facility and equipment to ensure an optimal and perpetual state of readiness.
