About Tim Cowie

I enjoy figuring out difficult technical and business problems. I look to optimize operations with a focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost; in that specific order. The best way to accomplish this goal is to develop strong teams. I\'ve been fortunate to work for IDEXX for the last 20 years where I have had high performing mentors and the opportunity for growth.I have had the ability to develop my skillset in all areas of operations including instrument and consumable manufacturing, supply chain, automation, engineering (multi-discipline), Lean Six Sigma, Facilities, IT, technical support and customer support. Each of these opportunities has given me the chance to learn and grow as a leader. Each person I work with has an impact on my career and contributes to it\'s success, so it\'s important that I do the same in return.Curiosity is my driving force. My passion has always been developing, building and/or improving something to be great. Understanding how \"things\" work is important to me, weather that \"thing\" is science, engineering, business or human behavior. Outside of work this passion continues with my family horse farm, Bentley Creek Farm, and hobbies including vintage pinball machine repair, animatronics and construction. There are two key aspects of my hobby\'s; Keeping my mind and body active.
