Technical Munitions Officer in the South African Army for 22 years; resigned in 2001 with the rank of Major. Managing and coordinating ammunition maintenance activities at three Ammunition depots and ensuring efficient and serviceable products to the end-user. Managing diverse sections at Headquarter level in terms of personnel functions, technical aspects and computerised systems, ensuring a professional service delivered by others. Immigrated to the UK in 2001 and started in 2005 at QinetiQ employed as an Ammunition Technician. Took up post as Demilitarisation Avocet Site Manager at Shoeburyness, Essex, managing the disposal process of unserviceable ammunition through 2 x ammunition disposal incinerators (Retort systems unique and one of it\'s kind in the United Kingdom); a Car Bottom Furnace and managing the certification of ammunition as Free From Explosives.Current post Project Manager, QinetiQ. Experienced Project Manager having led project delivery on both UK and international military contracts, and has a sound knowledge of the Land environment. having previously been an Army Officer in the South African Army. Managing key client projects and responsible for the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope. Overseeing all aspects of projects, setting deadlines, assign responsibilities and monitor and summarize progress of project and deliver results to the highest standard. A clear communicator who displays excellent interpersonal skills with a proven track record of performing well, achieving targets and objectives.
