ABOUT TIZZIE FRANKISH

A proficient and professional manager who has worked in Education for 20 years, teaching ESOL, English, Creative Writing and assessing/supporting/teaching/ coaching Neuro-divergent learners. I’m also a writer who champions reading for pleasure and the wonder of words through writing fiction/non-fiction stories, delivering creative and dynamic workshops, and my role as a Parent Governor (Literacy Lead) at a local Secondary school.Educational fiction: I write decodable readers for phonics schemes tailored to a specific brief, and early readers which incorporate literacy requirement, appropriate levelled vocabulary level within the relevant word count. Children\'s fiction: I write humorous, character-based stories with heart. My most recent stories/series explore the trails and tribulations of childhood (through both human and fantastical characters) with a green theme at the core- they entertain whilst also subtly sharing ideas about green solutions in the hope to inspires green behaviour in our next generation. Children\'s non-fiction/ creative non-fiction I write about topics close to my heart- Sustainability and Green Solutions-The Wonders of Walking- Nature and the Natural World- Health and Wellbeing- Equality, Diversity and Inclusion- Feminism- Neuro-diversity- Managing your Mental Health, These topics can also be covered in the adult non-fiction market, or in articles and blog posts.
