Professional Tito: I spent the first five years of my career as a Data Scientist, building ML models for retail banks, and as a management consultant with Boston Consulting Group. After that, I endured nine years of emotional abuse at Amazon, working in Amazon Payments and Amazon Advertising. I then spent four years at Convoy, navigating the fast-paced, growth-at-all-costs golden startup years in Supply Chain Technology, followed by two years at Roofstock during the profitability-at-all-costs startup era, serving as their CTO in PropTech. The common thread throughout my career has been online digital marketplaces that leverage quantitative optimization methods across various industries.Personal Tito: I grew up in Latin America in Argentina, lived in Mexico and Chile, and moved to the US in 2008 for Grad School. I live with my wife Sharbani, 3 kids (Sushmita 2016, Ashima 2018, Rohan 2020) and 2 cats (Skye and Everest). My wife, Sharbani Roy, and I both work in tech, so our household runs on a tight operation. Outside work, I play squash, grill large animals in open fires, grow vegetables in my backyard and watch videos in infinite loops of Messi winning the World cup.
