ABOUT TITAS PETELIS

Lead Front End Developer at Hays Travel ‍Passionate about crafting intuitive and scalable software solutions, I’m currently leading the Web Development team at Hays Travel, which is responsible for building, maintaining and delivering new features to a number of Hays Travel websites powered with Umbraco CMS. I\'m ensuring that the team delivers consistent and high-quality user experience across the sites in close collaboration with product, design and business stakeholders.I have a strong background in web UI/UX development using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, alongside experience in full-stack application development with.NET Core and C#. Previously, I worked in the Design System team at tombola, focusing on building, maintaining and delivering the foundational components and well-structured UI frameworks for our website using Lit, TypeScript, CSS and Figma. Before joining the Design System team, I was a part of Onboarding team, leading the Umbraco CMS solution development, which powers the logged-out games, content, and informational pages. I also played a key role in enhancing the welcome pages, login, and registration journey, improving user experience and implementing new features to ensure a seamless player experience. Earlier in my career, I worked as a backend developer on a PSD2 open banking system, utilizing Java and Spring Boot to develop secure financial APIs. I hold a First-Class Honours Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science from Newcastle University and am always eager to learn, collaborate, and push the boundaries of design and technology.
