   Introduction to African American History is a historical survey of the African-American experience from its origins in African culture to the present. The study of the experience of Africans in America and throughout the African diaspora will be examined, beginning in Africa, the birthplace of civilization and humanity, and will extend to the history of people of African descent in the United States today. My course analysis is an interdisciplinary approach to explore some of the major themes that illustrate the influence of the construction of African American realities, in the past and present, i.e, African heritage, the middle passage, slavery, segregation, second class citizenship, survival skills, gender politics, politics, culture, economics, artistic, and their impact on the enduring Black community.
